One of our principles is to answer all of your questions individually.

However, during the last couple of years, a couple recurring questions have evolved.

What is the destination / which is the airport we are flying in to?

You choose the direct flight from the European airports  or you take a flight from Helsinki to Kittilä. From there it is another 45 minutes with the rental car to the villas. 

 

 

What exactly is taken care of?

During the winter time you will be fully equipped with artic clothes equipment and skies, poles and shoes for cross-country skiing. You will also find snowshoes for you to try them out.

How about the self-catering?

The village of Muonio is about 30 minutes drive away. Here you will find two very well equipped supermarkets. You will find special delicacies of Lappish products and you will certainly find a pretty good variety of all kinds of things – from food to non-food items. You might also do the shopping in Levi as well where you find three well equipped supermarkets and souvenier and sportsware shops as well.

 

 

Food / dining on the spot

The ski center of Olostunturi  is located  25 minutes drive away. We would recommend two of  restaurants there; Lapland Hotel Olos Takka restaurant and  the restaurant Kammari.  In Levi you will find a bigger variety of restaurants to choose from. You might also like Lapland Hotel Pallas restaurant or Hotel Jeris restaurant, both 20 minutes drive away from the villas. In Muonio you will find the Swiss Café in the center or the lunch buffet Thai Silk Coffee Shop. 

 

 

How about towels and linen?

You will find comfortable towels and linen as well as bathrobes for your convenience.

 

 

Do we have to buy herbs, toilet paper or washing-up liquid? 

No, you don’t have to buy any of these things. They are part of the Villas equipment so there is no need for you to organize these essentials by yourself.

 

 

Check-in/check-out times

Kindly advise us in advance what time you’ll arrive. You will be meet and greet personally by us upon arrival.

Check-in from 17:00 hours or later.

Check-out from 11:00 hours.

 

 

Is the water of Jerisjärvi drinkable?

Jerisjärvi belongs to the clear-water mountain lakes. However, we do not recommend drinking water from it. Instead, the house’s own borehole water is first class and researched and is perfect for drinking and cooking.

 

 

Where can I buy a fishing license?

What fish is possible to get from Lake Jerisjärvi?

In Jerisjärvi you can catch pike, whitefish, perch, vendace and mackerel, among others.
